The International Property Buyers Network (IPBN) has been created to inform, empower and support buyers purchasing property in the difficult overseas and international property markets. Over the past few years there has been a huge increase in the numbers of ordinary investors looking to purchase property overseas and unfortunately there has also been a corresponding increase in the problems faced by those investors and owners. While various websites and forums have tried to provide support none focus on the key issues facing the unwary investor.
 Off-plan vs Resale: Off-plan purchasing can often look like the cheapest and easiest way to owning a new home overseas. However, for the first-time buyer this route can often be the most perilousness due to the nature of the unregulated markets that many international estate agents and developers work in. While off-plan purchasing often looks attractive, the risk / benefits often don't stack up and a wise investor will often look at resales opportunities for the real bargains. Our community explores both and offers help and advise along the way.
